I paint using the ‘en plein air’ approach and enjoy taking my paints and easel outside to capture Ontario landscapes in their natural light.
In past I've leaned toward the impressionist style and am now mixing in expressionism, showing the obvious shapes and forms of the landscape. I find detail isn’t necessary as it can be provided by the viewer’s imagination. This let’s the viewer make their own contribution.
